Short and sweet.

Still working on the gamepad functionality. I still haven't had a lot of time to get things done this week. I decided to go with a better organized, but stream lined version of what I want for a final implementation, mainly because I really want to move on to getting the gui class stated and completed and then finish up the Barricade demo. Going to go play some Bioshock before bed for a little while. Later.

I'll take your input.

I ended up getting some basic gamepad functionality into the engine this past Sunday, but as for a completed class that offers the support of XInput and DirectInput both, in a flexible way, it has yet to see completion. I'll continue to work on that through out the week and am really looking forward to get a big chunk of work knocked out this weekend. I decided that I'm going to have to write a lot of custom initialization code for DirectInput as well. I'm still not really sure how I'm going to handle a few issues at this point, but I'll figure it out.

There is a lot that needs doing. At this point, I'm lucky if I get my two hours a day in for coding though. But I'm thankful I can even get that time in. I'm trying to convince myself that I can still make a mid march deadline for a proto-type release, but I'm not sure if that's realistic or not, especially with work now taking up a lot of time and it being harder to focus on things after work as I'm usually kind of tired. It may be beneficial to switch my schedule from working out in the mornings before work, to coding in the mornings before work and working out in the evenings. I may end up trying that next week. The problem with that being if I don't work out in the mornings, I usually feel tired all day and if I'm not really a wake I won't do very well getting things done code wise either. A little experimentation will probably be in order though.

Ok, I've got too damn much to do, so I'm going to quit blogging now.
